A Little Nail Color

Exactly a year ago I started to have a fascination of nails but more importantly NAIL POLISH! I find all the colors way too difficult to choose from and so I try EVERY color at the salon! When I'm in between appointments I have started to amass a collection of my own colors from the store.

Who knew GREEN, my favorite color in the Universe, would be a popular nail color?

I'd also like to PERSONALLY thank the inventor of the GLITTER NAIL POLISH! Aside from green being my favorite color, I'm all about THE GLITTER!

Now that Emily is a working gal in Washington DC we cannot share our polish. So when I buy myself a new bottle, I buy 2 and send them down to Emily. Good thing we have the SAME TASTE as she just received 2 new colors this morning! I know she's thrilled too! Can't wait to see her post on Twitter showing me her new nail color.

Happy Tuesday!

A Post about COFFEE

Sometimes after we eat din-din, we feel like having a sweet. BUT - NO SWEETS FOR US SADLY!

So I like to make a pot of coffee and become my own Barista!!!!!!!!!!! You know me, I always like to watch a recipe or drink or what have you, and then do it myself!

I don't think I've blogged about the demise of yet ANOTHER percolator - yep it happened back in February. Gary went right up to his computer and found this beauty!

Many years ago - 1999 to be exact, I was poking around a kitchen store and found this item! It's a milk frother that works like a D.R.E.A.M.! No plugs, no nothing just me and a little pump pump pump action.

The only milk to use in my frother is Skim milk. Again, works like nobody's business. I fill the milk to the LINE indicated and with a few pumps I've got frothy milk! WOOT WOOT!

So I don't cool down the coffee, I nuke the frothed milk before assembling the coffee.

And here is how our coffee comes out. I add cinnamon in Gary's cup so his cup is a little darker than mine. I swear this coffee tastes just like having it out in a coffee shop!

My First Friends in South Orange

Yesterday was succulent planting day with my 2 friends Amy and Camilla. We all have kids age 23 -or nearly 23 and then we have our 2nd kids who are nearly 20 -and Russ - age 21.

I saw this great succulent planter on a blog: http://www.bhg.com/gardening/container/plans-ideas/make-a-living-succulent-picture/#page=1

Here are photos of how our planters turned out.

Happy Spring - tomorrow we are headed into NY to the Botanical Gardens for the Orchid Show. Thinking I might have to have a Greenhouse built NEXT!
