POUNDS of BISCOTTI DOUGH

I have more than I can really handle on my plate, but I know you all enjoy my cookies. So after making the din-din, cleaning it up, I made all the biscotti dough. That's the messiest part of the whole project. It took me an hour! I had some assembly line going. I sure hope they bake up great and taste good too! I didn't take photos because did I ever make a mess! The flour was flying out of the bowl -- the nuts, the chips! Oh what yummy ingredients.

Tomorrow I've more more swatching to do and getting our sales reps lines ready. Some are going out tomorrow, but they are not yet complete. What can we do? It's a fight to the finish line that's a for sure.

So yesterday in NJ the weathermen and the newscasters were hyping up this "major" snow storm in our area. Oh they had all the forces out even before anything happened. Before we went to bed it had started to rain. The forecast was for the weather to change over to all snow come midnight. Well midnight came and not 1 flake came down! I got up my usual 6:00am to walk Gordie and get the day started and still not a drop of snow! I had to wake Russell and tell him that in fact school was on! So while I was doing my swatching today, I had the radio on to the news. Don't you know NJ spent over $1 million dollars on this NON-STORM! I guess they called in the overnight crews to get ready to do the plowing and salting. Guess us New Jerseyians (is there such a word?) will be paying for that screw up! A MILLION DOLLARS FOR A LITTLE RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry there are no pictures to post. I could show you the mounds of dough in my fridge ready for the big bake-off, but that might leave too hungry!

On another note, we have been using SKYPE to talk to Emily at school! It's so darn great! I showed her what I was making for dinner, and Russ held up Gordie so she could see him. It's really a great way to talk to someone!

I must now go and put my feet up. I've had a looooooooong day and haven't sat down for 1 minute! Will you all stop by our booth in NYC to see me and get your bag of cookies? If you can't make it to NYC, I'm planning on baking and shipping my cookies to Charlotte and Chicago! Well I'm saying that now...but I'll probably get my strenghth back to do the job!

Best!

Jane
