Oh brother -- the time between Christmas and New Year's I really started to read blogs. And I found the way to discover new blogs is by reading the comment sections and clicking onto other blogs that way. So now I have a huge list of favorite cooking and knitting blogs that I'm addicted to. My waistline is suffering let me tell you.
So I wanted to show you out there what our son ate for lunch yesterday. Mind you, he's 16 years old -- that being said -- how does he NOT gain tons of weight? Russell went out to play hockey for 4 hours. I've never seen how it all goes but he must be burning tons of calories. While he was out playing yesterday, Emily and I did our routine food shop. (yep, Emily is still home from college! For all that it costs you'd think they'd be in school LEARNING not being home for a month doing nothing!) Ok back to Russ. I was in the freezer section and I heard in the back of my head, "Mom please buy me some good snacks!" I found these frozen burgers that the box says will be ready in seconds. Emily ran out to pick up Russ after his 4 hour hockey extravaganza. I showed Russ the box of burgers I bought and watched what he did. Russ set out a plate and microwaved all 12 burgers! I watched!!!!!!!! He scarfed down the burgers in a 1/2 second and finished up 3/4's of a bag of Kettle chips! He chased that with about 6 donut holes. IMAGINE IF I EVER ATE THAT AMOUNT OF HIGH CALORIE FOOD? I don't think I'd fit in this desk chair to be writing these blogs! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH to be young. Just now, for breakfast, Russ ate 3 WHOLE BAGELS only 1 with cream cheese!
OK then 12 days until the Haberdashery Show at the Warwick. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible and writing the orders for our gorgeous neckwear!
Best,
Jane
