As Promised, more pictures of Emily's werk!

Isn't this a beautiful setting? We are not members of the Orange Lawn Tennis Club and I had no idea how pretty it really is - and only 2 streets away from us!

The pool is so NOT BUSY - but on weekends it is. So on weekends, there are 2 lifeguards to handle more of the patrons.

Notice the grass tennis courts and also Hard Tru as well? I never walked around to count or see ALL the courts but it is wonderful if you like to play the game.

I like to spend a 1/2 hour or so keeping Emily company up there - when she's not too busy.

OK the rest of the ties will be rolling in any day. Then more photos and Trade Shows and the start of shipping!

Happy Summer to ALL!

Best,
Jane M

P.S.

I THINK THE ORANGE LAWN NEEDS TO FIND NEW MEMBERS TO HELP PAY FOR ALL THE AMENITIES! YA THINK?

The 1st Post of Emily's commute to werk!

Emily, like I've been writing, works 2 streets over at the tennis club life guarding. It's not too hard of a job - in fact with the cold rainy NJ weather, it's been downright EASY to lifeguard a not so busy swimming pool. But...EMILY CALLS, TEXT'S, BLACKBERRIES moaning how she is so miserable. I then go over to bring lunch, snacks, my lovely company - and I find her reading (she's re-reading every Harry Potter book to get ready for the next movie coming out any day now)and looking quite relaxed. Yesterday, I went up there to give her a snack of low fat dip and baby carrots. Here are only a few pictures of the very difficult commute to the famous Orange Lawn and Tennis Club of South Orange. (I think it's the 1st tennis club in the country - their claim to fame - grass courts and all!) Now only if they would stop losing so many members and get back on their financial feet...established in only 1880!!!!!!!!!!

More later after I pick her up in an hour or so - I'll post more photos of the club and pool.

Best,
Jane M

Because

Because I do too much of this:

I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY DAY! But...here's the thing...I love this new computerized bike! They have so many programs to choose from, and I compete with either the other computerized bikers or GARY! Yep, you can choose to ride against someone! It's the greatest invention. And...I get a GREAT WORK OUT! GREAT!

After Emily, Russ and I biked, we went to watch a ZUMBA class workout. This Friday we might just join in the class. I'm not so coordinated when it comes to those classes and at times they frustrate me, but I'll give it the old college try. WHY NOT? Maybe I'll take pix too! We'll have to see.

Time to get the grill lit - Russ is bringing the GF over tonight for the dinner once Emily comes home from her job. Oh and I'm going to take pix of her job setting. WHINE WHINE WHINE is all I get...but you should see this tennis club. I'll give you the details tomorrow!

I've been doing a lot of baking

with my new mixer. Good in my tummy, BAD on my waistline! But I'm having fun and that's what counts. With my new shiny red mixer, I baked -- a blueberry buckle and extra large chocolate chip cookies which the recipe came in my email from Martha. I think my next project in my mixer might be something savory - quiche maybe? Whatever the mood strikes me I guess.

I'm waiting on the last 4 designs to swatch and the line will be complete. The 1st half of the photographs are on the way to the webmaster and will be posted any day. Things are coming together and then next up are the Trade Shows. Before I know it, summer will be long gone. Each day is busier than the next. I like it that way.

Call me for ties!

Jane M

Has this ever happened to you?

2 parties and both times me and Gary are stuck at the "cousins/reject" table. I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO US! We are a group of 12 people/6 couples who get invited to parties. And it's always me and Gary getting put at a table of rejects while the 5 couples sit with each other. I said right off the bat when we got the invite that we weren't going, but then in a fit of despair said YES. Got to the party location and our table assignment and were not surprised that we were not sitting with our friends that we knew. WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME AND GARY?

At least we got the DJ to play some Michael Jackson music which was fun to dance to. Oh and I also got a new hair do which made me feel nice since all my friends told me it looked nice. Other than that, I give the party - hmmm a 4? Could have been higher if we were not shoved to a crappy table - oh right I already said that like a thousand times. Another thing - I hold GRUDGES so don't ever wrong me because I never forget it and I ENJOY revenge!

Happy July 4th!

Jane M

Tie Photographing

Worked with the photographer today - and got almost 1/2 the ties photographed! YIPPEE! I'm starting already to memorize style numbers. Well I know 2 styles for sure - but that's not bad right?

So to update, all the salesmen have their lines. Jane and Gary have about 1/2 the ties. We are starting to pack up for the NY Trade Show - yep we like to be prepared! That's the Girl Scout Motto. And Gary took his first order for the Fall 2009 Season.

Other than that, it's still raining on and off here in NJ. We're stuck in a lousy weather pattern. We have contracted a company to paint our house. You see back in October our house got EGGED. And now with the sun beating down on our house, well let me just say, it's a horrible, embarrassing site to say the least. But...here's the big BUT...THE PAINTERS CANNOT START THE JOB UNTIL ALL THIS RAIN STOPS! They are way backed up on jobs, so who knows when the company will schedule us?! And so it goes. The rain is good for the plants but we need the sun to ripen the tomatoes out back.

So I posted 1 ugly picture and to counter that I posted a pretty flower picture!

It's July 4th weekend. Happy July 4th to all!

DINNER TIME!

Best,

Jane M
